3rd party tracking in social media is still an open market. Some people prefer to use systems like DoubleClick to integrate analytics with their advertising campaigns and reduce double-counting. Others prefer to use their chosen web analytics for click-tracking to conversion. Either way, it's still very click based and it's doubtful that you'll ever rely on cookies from an ad impression in the social media era.

Radian6 supports double-byte characters now, including traditional and simplified Chinese. However, it still lacks in site network size across Asian markets and therefore does not provide the best local market depth if you're looking for a good buzz monitoring tool.
